Entries for photographs have opened for British Wildlife Photography Awards that carry a £5000 overall 1st prize and extra valuable prizes of photography equipment.
There are 16 different categories that includes urban wildlife, animal behaviour, habitat, marine life, animal portraits, the hidden secret world which lies in the undergrowth as well as a special award for wildlife in HD VideoAlso 2 junior categories as well as a school award – to encourage young lads to get close with nature through photography.
Naturalist and television presenter Chris Packham told that each year the British Wildlife Photography Awards generates an incredible catalogue of exciting, splendid, artistic images and imaginative, proving beyond doubt that they have the richest palette of life to celebrate in their own backyard. Anyone passionate about preserving and protecting wildlife would be inspired by British Wildlife Photography Awards that in its 6th year has done more than any other award to raise the profile of British wildlife.
The best snaps would showcased at Mall Galleries, London SW1, later in September and it would also feature in a book.
